Views of Society
No person is the same, we are a society based on different people who can't fully understand the difference of another but still like to act as if we know everything. It's why I don't agree with the quote  "Individuals are basically evil and must constantly fight against their true nature" because while it's a possibility for us tide send into anarchy, there are those who can rise above it. It' also why I don't agree with the quote "Individuals will go along with any type of activity, no Matter how violent, when pressured by their peers". We can be more, it' s just very hard to do.

William Golding was lived in a time of chaos when bombs rained on the earth and gunshots were rarely not being heard.when he wrote " Lord of the Flies " he had a view of a blood soaked earth in his mind, a witness to what despair does to people who don't dare dream of a better horizon, because that dream was nothing but a mocking reminder of what they thought could never be true. This is why he didn't believe in the possibility of a better tomorrow. He saw humanity ripe it self apart " We are our own worsts enemy!" men slaughter based on this concept. I agree with this belief completely. We are scared of the boogy man, a figment of our imaginations. We fear nature to but in the end only we know how to make other suffer, nature kills, humans torture. In the end while it's possible foe outside forces to kill us, the truth is "The human race is destined to destroy itself" is probably are end.

"Rules and punishment are absolutely necessary if we are to maintain a civilized society" we need order when a large group tries to agree on one thing. Since humans are all different, we all have conflicting views, like Ralph and Jack. Ralph wanted to be saved, Jack wanted to kill pigs, this caused friction, which lead to fear, allowing for doubt, ending it chaos. We need a stable structure to maintain order. At the same time, since all humans are different we all need to be handled differently, which cause problems because it takes time and money that we don't have.

Spots.
Spots!
Doth my eyes deceive me or does Blood speckle me of kings past!
But no, this the blood of thy own body doth cover me like a spotted blanket.
Much like Duncan's does the elixir of life embrace me, leaving none inside.
A little water will wash it away!
So scrub, scrub, scrub
Still the Kings blood bathed me
Not enough I see
I need more
I see more
More, more is what I need to wash out these damn spots!
More below, down below
So down I go, I need to get there quick but to far are the stairs to long a trip
The window is close
I'll just jump
So down I go
Now my own blood coats me
Washing away the spots!
But no, not just the spots, washing away all
The murder
My home
My Husband
So easy to fool into my plot, until changing into a new man
A king
It's a wife's job to further her husband in life by helping him along the path, making it easier to bear
Treating him like a king
Changing him into a king
A ruler, A murderer, A tyrant, A-
Who
It doesn't matter
Into darkness
Only darkness
Eternal darkness

Human nature doesn't change. People do, thoughts do but the way we are doesn't. All humans are different, you will never find two of the same human, but we are all made up of the same materials. We have emotions and brains, we use are minds for logic to counterbalance are emotions which we use to experience things and we must use both to try and live life to it's fullest. We all have the same emotions and we all have a brain, what makes us different is the amount we use of each. Shakespere's work does a great job of showing the different ways people use emotion to go chose their goals, and logic to gain them. He also shows the consquencies of taking it past the point of humanity and into the path to your own demise.

Macbeth wanted to be king, so he killed the king to gain the crown, but the act lead him to insanity because his guilt was drowning him, so he forced him self to ignore it and live with what he had done  as a being that found that kind of behaviour natural. In today's world we are still effected by are emotions, people use them as a guid to gain their happiness. People go after what they think will make them happy, like Macbeth and power. In Macbeth's case he took it to the point that he would do anything to have the crown, without realizing that there was a price. People still do this toady, let are ambition lead us to the point where the lines of right and wrong blur, and cloud are judgement. Not letting are selves realize we can live without what once seemed a need, only to become a want.

Fate and free will play a part in Macbeth as well. Macbeth lived in a time where freedom was something you were born into. We still have societies like that, but we also have the possibility to rise from it, back then that dream was better left in bed. People didn't hope to rule the castle if they were a slave, they hoped to survive the night. This is why people in today's society tend to under appreciate how far we have come and why what we now have shouldn't be taken for granted.

Finally I'm going to discuss is reality and appearance. Macbeth tried to keep it a secret that he killed the king, but to all outside viewers it was obvious that he was deteriorating. People try to deceive others  to rely an image of what they want the world to see. Teens do this to survive high school and avoid bullying employees do this to make an impression on their cliental, we all try to show the world what we want them to see, rarely what we are, this makes the person miserable. We'll many hide their true feelings better than Macbeth, being something were not leaves us with a bitter taste in are mouth, leading to unhappy lives. We do how ever have rules that must be followed to a certain extent making it's hard to find a balance between what's allowed and what we are.

We'll society has changed as humans adapt. People keep common traits from their ancestry, though we seemed to have change from what we once were, in truth only the environment outside us changed and we adapted as we do, at are core we are still the same as we were back in the time of Shakespeare and Macbeth.

An apple a day

"Eat an apple on going to bed, and you'll keep the doctor from earning his bread". Though there are many variations of the famed saying, better known as "An apple a day, keeps the doctor away" in today's world, a common superstition found in it, the superstition's wording originates from Whales and is said for many reasons. First there is the fact apples are very healthy, high in Vitimine C and phenols, this nutritious little snack promotes good health and is a tasty alternative to chips or chocolate. But, all fruit is healthy, so why did the author use the apple as it's choice? This is because any round hanging fruit use to be known as an apple back then, before scientists started realizing that all these fruits have differences and aren't all the same thing. Only one fell on Sir Isaac Newton.

Why do people still believe in superstitions? These unreasonable events that we made up in the past, even though their is no logical explination to these things? I believe it is because, despite them being un logical, un explainable, they still have a strange way of happening. They arn't a consistency and it doesn't ring true for every person on this planet, but unexplainable things happen when the superstions are happening, finding a 20 dollar bill on the day you found a penny, falling down stairs on Friday the13 th, these things don't make any sense, and yeteople still find it a test of fate to try and Dify them.

Past, Present & Future

Growing up, a large part of my social life was made up by family friends. In my immediate family, there was another that we use to hang out with all the time, the Reids. We would hang out, go camping & spend a large amount of time together. Their were other families there too, but we we're closest so with the Reids. There were 2 children, 1 my older sister's age & 1 two years older than her, they are brother & sister, with the oldest being female. Growing up I felt as though what I  wanted came last, it may have been an over reaction, but that's how I felt. I remember once playing a game, and in this game someone was "it" & would remain "it" until the end of the round I would be last person the last person for the game, but when my turn came up they were all bored & would want to do something else. Looking back I think I've grown more understanding of the fact that people want to go on & if you don't take your chance you could get left behind.

Nowadays I care a lot less about what other's think of me, to the point I'm rather antisocial. I prefer being alone & reading than talking & gossiping with other's, mostly because I really don' t have anything to say.my tastes lie's in the arts with my dancing, acting, singing, & joy of fiction, both reading/ watching or making it up. My favorite genera's are si-fi, fantasy, & mystery. Honestly though I will read something as long as it intrigues me.

In the future I don't know for sure what will happen.i would like to be a writer, because I enjoy using my imagination & creating new stories, I also also love acting & wouldn'tt mind being an actress. However, those aren't the easiest professions., I've also thought of being an archeologist & studing artifacts, since I love history & discovering a good mystery. Where I will be I do not know, for all we know the future holds. Is that of thy untold.

I am an Actor

Hey,
I'm not stuck up
Or snooty
And I don't smoke pot
Or party all night
Or all day
And don't know
All the words to every sonnet or play
Though I believe they are superb
I have an apprication not an obsession for the play
Though I could watch it all day
And I love being on stage
I can usually read Shakespere, not always
And I still find it confusing
Musical's are wonderful
Not pointless or strange
Though they can be cheesy
And it's "Les Misèrables" not "Les Miserables"
It takes effort to be in a play
It's not just an easy A
It's something I love!
My name is Emma and I am an actor

About Me

Hello, my name is made up of letters, I live on the planet earth and my age is a number. I enjoy the art's, mainly musical theatre. I love chocolate, especially milk chocolate. I have a dog named something, a cat named something, a older sister named something, a mom and a dad. My favorite classes in school are Drama, English and Social Studies because they require more than just a correct answer, they require you to think about what you are about to do, depending on the situation.

This semester my goals are to pass with a minimal B letter grade, spend more time reading and enjoy all the aspects of the class and it's teachings
